Pegi Young

Pegi Young (1952-2019) was an American singer, songwriter, environmentalist, educator and philanthropist. She co-founded the Bridge School, an educational program aimed at serving the needs of children with severe physical and speech impairments, and along with former husband Neil Young raised awareness and funds for the school at annual Bridge School Concerts. After several years of performing with Neil Young’s various touring ensembles, including members of Crazy Horse, and legendary musicians Donald “Duck” Dunn, Jim Keltner and Booker T. Jones, Young gained the self-assurance she needed to make a record as well.
