October 2020 marks the 20th anniversary of Hardly Strictly Bluegrass. Although it is still springtime, our thoughts are with you, the music community and all the people who come to Golden Gate Park each year to celebrate as well as our brothers and sisters in Nashville, who have recently struggled through a tornado. All of us are focused on sheltering in place to make sure we can continue to thrive in the future. There is genuine pain in our neighborhoods but together we have the resilience to face this challenge. In good times and bad we find ourselves turning to music. It soothes our souls, energizes us and provides a common ground for our experiences. We invite you to visit our archives http://www.hardlystrictlybluegrass.com/archives/ and share your Hardly Strictly Bluegrass memories with family and friends. It is a simple way to connect with others, allow us all to pause, and remind ourselves of better times. We are preparing for the fall with the hope that our event can take place. Last year the beneficiary of our Out of the Park series was Music in the Schools Today. This year we will find a charity related to a relief fund for COVID-19. We look forward to seeing you October 2-4, 2020. In the meantime be safe, stay healthy and share music. All the Best The Staff of Hardly Strictly Bluegrass and the Hellman Foundation
